Let Pro-PT Handle the Paperwork

At Pro-PT, we believe you should be focused on healing, wellness and meeting your personal goals. We don’t believe you should worry about all the paperwork. It draws attention from what is truly important: your recovery.

Our practice helps you work through all the forms and claims to make things easy for you on your road to recovery. Insurance participation can change without notice. Pro-PT works with all major insurances, and we can often become partnered with an insurance company upon your initial referral to physical therapy.

Pro-PT

Our Carriers

The following list of carriers is not comprehensive or complete, but it does offer insight and education concerning the types of carriers we DO work with on your behalf. Please take some time to review them below:

  • Aetna
  • Align Networks
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Blue Medicare
  • Bright Health
  • Cigna
  • Coventry
  • Health Team Advantage
  • Humana
  • Medicare
  • Medcost
  • Mutual of Omaha
  • OptumHealth
  • Tri-Care
  • United Healthcare
  • And more

If you don’t see your insurance on this list, please call our office, as we may still participate with your specific plan.

Self-Pay

We have special payment options for those who are uninsured or choose to pay out of pocket for physical therapy services.

Co-Payments/Co-Insurances

We recommend that you check with your insurance carrier to verify your physical therapy benefits. Co-payments and co-insurance are due at the time of service. We accept all major credit cards.

Direct Access

North Carolina is considered a “Direct Access” state. This allows you, the patient, to seek out physical therapy services without a doctor’s referral. Some insurances require a doctor’s referral before they will pay for physical therapy sessions, but not all. We recommend you check with your insurance to see if a referral to physical therapy is required. Self-pay patients can schedule an appointment with or without a physician’s referral.

You always have the right to choose your physical therapy professional. We take this very seriously and want to help you! In some cases, Pro-PT can help you request a referral from your current primary care provider or specialist. (Maybe put something in about people can choose their PT clinic / professional)
